Position: Sales and Marketing Specialist Location: Hybrid (Sri Lanka / Remote) Job Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy by Product and Target Industry:
Develop Product-Specific Sales Strategies: Create and execute tailored sales approaches for each product category, aligning messaging with industry needs and highlighting unique product features.
Target Industry Engagement: Identify and establish relationships within key industries (e.g., healthcare, food packaging, retail, agriculture, and more) to promote relevant products and drive sales growth.
Market Customization Options: Emphasize customization capabilities, such as branded designs for Ziplock and retail bags, to enhance brand value for clients in competitive markets.
Collaborate with Marketing Teams: Work closely with marketing to design digital campaigns, product showcases, and event participation that appeals to industry-specific client bases.
Lead Outreach Initiatives: Conduct targeted outreach through digital platforms, industry events, and direct networking to connect with high-potential clients across various sectors.
Showcase Product Compliance and Quality: Highlight the quality, safety, and durability of food-grade packaging, industrial reels, and agricultural products through compliance certifications and case studies.
Monitor Sales Performance and Market Trends: Track sales metrics by product and industry, adjusting strategies as needed to capitalize on new opportunities and meet evolving market demands.
Drive New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business leads in untapped markets, such as household product suppliers and garment manufacturers, to expand the company's reach and customer base.
Additional Sales Responsibilities
Client Prospecting and Outreach: Identify and approach potential clients within each target industry through networking, industry connections, and digital platforms.
Account Management and Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction, secure long-term collaborations, and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities across our product range.
Sales Tracking and Reporting: Regularly track and report on sales performance, analyzing metrics to optimize sales strategies and forecast demand.
Qualifications:
Industry Experience: Proven experience in sales and marketing, ideally within manufacturing, environmental, or recycling sectors. Knowledge of Sri Lanka’s packaging and waste management industry is advantageous.
Product and Market Insight: In-depth understanding of the plastic and recycling industry in Sri Lanka, with the ability to match products to industry-specific needs and effectively communicate our value proposition.
Communication and Relationship Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for client engagement and relationship management. Must be comfortable with client presentations, negotiations, and ongoing relationship development.
Self-Motivation and Independence: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on achieving results.
Digital Marketing Proficiency: Familiarity with social media, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools to enhance customer engagement and reach.
